I’m watching the shell of a car burn,
The flames crimson and amber twist and turn.
Boiling metal drips to the floor,
Poison seeps from an unhinged door.

Burning Car, every flame weaves a chapter.
Each one an element of my wasted life.

As the shell begins to disintegrate,
Consumed by a chaos irate,
Where is the driver? Did he manage to escape?
From the imploding scene of his disgrace.

Burning Car, every flame weaves a chapter.
Each one an element of my wasted life.

Burned out shell, a work of art undone.
Every flicker or sensation, a situation from which I’ve run.
What remains resembles the inside of my head,
And what there was is the sanity I’ve not long left.

Burning Car, every flame weaves a chapter.
Each one an element of my wasted life.

Each one an element of my wasted life.
